This item comes with two mounting plates. This gives you the ability to move the stand to a different location, say for example in your basement for bike repairs, and perhaps outside somewhere so you can wash your bike. There are no instructions as people may be installing the stand at different heights for different bikes. Also, the item does not come with screws, as folks mount it in different situations, like on a wood stud, or even into a cement wall. Our suggestion would be to bring one of the plates into your local hardware store and tell them where you will be mounting it and they can assist with the proper hardware.
